The ART CES 2025 Experience Recap with our Chief Technology Officer, Gabriele Pieraccini

ART took part in the world’s largest technology fair, bringing the uniqueness of made in Italy and know-how of excellence, in the automotive field and beyond. 
The CES (Consumer Electronic Show), the event dedicated to technology and consumer electronics, but which for several years now has been oriented towards mobility, which is increasingly connected and intelligent, has closed counting more than 140 thousand visitors, 40% of whom came from more than 150 countries. 
From the Convention Center west hall in Las Vegas, Gabriele Pieraccini, ART Chief Technology Officer, gave a recap of the various trends by answering some of our questions: 

Gabriele, what were the major trends of this 2025 edition of CES and what has changed from past years, especially in our target market, automotive? 

“In this 2025 edition of CES in Las Vegas, what were just trends like electrification, connectivity and autonomous driving a few years ago are now realities. Artificial intelligenceis transforming all industries to some extent, including the automotive industry: there are still issues that need to be resolved, such as those involving privacy, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the fundamental question that will need to be answered-and that ART is already answering-is: how do we best use artificial intelligence to create better products faster? Let’s also think about the trend of electrification, yes, alright, everyone knows it’s slowing down now, there are doubts, but it’s pointless, the future is electric, whether we like it or not. So again, you have to be prepared. Another trend that has made huge strides is self-driving cars. There are companies like WayMo and Zoox that are already on the market even with solutions of the so-called, “level four”.
A lot is being done on the sustainability side as well, with a number of innovations involving materials or whatever.” 

In this highly technological landscape and with respect to the trends that you’ve been able to observe at ART, how do you manage to retain a unique competitive advantage in a world that is so rapidly changing? 

“It is good to see howconnectivityandinfotainmentare becoming more and more important. Infotainment, because it is being recognized as one of the key elements in future cars in terms of user experience, with the goal of giving new content in the car. Major companies such as Qualcomm, QNX, Amazon Web Services, are already producing tools or custom solutions that are also aimed at supporting infotainment development, and ART will benefit from this. As a company, we have akey advantage, that of being fully vertical. We develop everything in house, from hardware all the way to software, including connectivity, and so we can-we also participate in ‘shaping the future’ in terms of infotainment.
This year we can clearly see how the future of automotive is a smarter safer and also more sustainable future!”
