Students, companies and teachers meet to exchange ideas and invest in their professional development
Passignano sul Trasimeno (Perugia), 28 February 2025 – The first event of the fourth edition of SITUM, the School of Humanistic and Managerial Technological Innovation, was held today (Friday 28 February) at the headquarters of ART, one of Italy’s leading suppliers of connected infotainment systems and digital cockpits for luxury sports cars as well as other vehicles. An innovative project dedicated to the promotion of new training and development opportunities in the regions of Umbria, Marche and Abruzzo, aimed at providing practical networking between companies and the academic world.
“Digital skills and the ability to adapt to rapid changes are essential in order to prepare new generations to deal with the challenges of the future. Investing in the training of young people and in networking with companies is not only an act of social responsibility, but a winning strategy that fuels growth and competitiveness,” said ART CEO Francesco Ortix during his welcoming speech. “Our company, whose average age is under 35, has a constant commitment to supporting lifelong learning and creating work environments where young people can develop, learn and contribute their talents. For years we have been running training programmes for young people that we have called ‘Z-Inbubator’ aimed at undergraduates or recent graduates from various academic backgrounds and even those apparently not aligned with the topics dealt with at ART: through an important training and on-the-job training programme, more than 90% of the participants are then permanently employed in the company Together, we can build an ecosystem in which technology is not just an opportunity, but an engine for change, creating a future in which young people are ready to lead with innovation, passion and vision.”
SITUM IV: SITUM – Play, promoted by the University of Perugia, the Marche Polytechnic Universityand the University of L’Aquila. The aim of SITUM is to integrate academic training with practical experience in companies, offering students real tools to deal with the challenges of the world of work. SITUM has been implemented with funding from BPER Banca and with the support of the participating Chambers of Commerce and companies, and has already produced significant results: in three years, 131 students have been involved, 125 internships have been set up, and collaborations have been established with more than 45 companies in the area. In addition, starting from this fourth season, SITUM is proud to become an integral part of the course of studies in the faculties of engineering and economics.
“I would like to say that the SITUM experience, now in its fourth year, is truly extraordinary because it brings together not only the skills of the most important universities in Central Italy, but also their ability to relate constructively with local companies and to work together with them in order to train professionals with a profile that matches the needs of the market. At the end of the course, the students become highly employable not only nationally but internationally. I would like to say a big thank you to BPER for the support it has given us with its scholarships, which make it easier for our students to attend the various universities and companies located in the area”. Edoardo Alesse, Rector of University of L’Aquila, commented.
“BPER Banca has always been at the forefront in intercepting and supporting the best growth opportunities for young people. We believe that it is essential to promote professional training, dialogue and encounters between companies, the academic world and students. In this sense, BPER is proud to confirm its support for SITUM, a project that combines academic knowledge with practical experience in the field in a dynamic and innovative way, focusing on synergy, collaboration and the sharing of knowledge and objectives.” BPER Banca’s Regional Head of Marche and Abruzzo, Giuseppe La Boria, stated.
During the meeting, university lecturers presented how the new SITUM programme will be developed in the master’s degree courses, through interaction with partner companies and by challenging students with the presentation of real business cases. For more information about the project www.situm.org
